The Russian Museum
The painting depicting chrysanthemums in an eastern vase has been acquired by the Russian Museum in 1931 from the Museum of Academy of Arts. It is one of the first works painted by the artist on the genre of still life. This work was being exhibited at the exposition “Flowers in paintings” in June 2010 in the Marble Palace, one of the branches of the Russian Museum. The exhibition was held in the framework of the III International Festival “Imperial gardens of Russia” in the Mikhailovsky garden, a part of the Russian Museum’s complex.
