The walls of the room are draped with light-green velvet cloth. The pattern on the velvet cloth was recreated in 1992 after the samples of the early 18th century. The original carved oak bed with monograms and gilt legs (work of Russian craftsmen) belonged to Catherine I. In the room there is a floor mirror in a walnut frame (1710–1711), made with the personal participation of Peter the Great. There is also a bureau with a clock (France, early 18th century). The walls are decorated with the portrait of daughter of Peter the Great and Catherine I, future empress Elizaveta Petrovna, in her childhood (copy of the portrait by Ivan Nikitin) and paintings by Dutch artists, brought by Peter the Great from abroad.
